Delete your account and data

Three ways to do it: clear the ledger on your phone, delete the account yourself inside the app, or ask us to delete it. All three are described below.

Option 1 — clear your data yourself, in the app

This removes the ledger without closing the account. Nothing is sent to us and nothing needs approval.

  1. Open HomeSlate.
  2. Go to Settings.
  3. Tap Clear all data.
  4. Confirm. Entries, payments and services are deleted immediately.

Option 2 — delete the account yourself, in the app

This deletes the account and its cloud copy straight away. Nothing is sent to us and nothing needs approval.

  1. Open HomeSlate and sign in.
  2. Go to Profile.
  3. Tap Delete account.
  4. Confirm. The account and everything in the first table below are deleted immediately, and the phone is cleared.

Deleting the account does not cancel a Pro subscription. Cancel it in your App Store or Google Play subscription settings, or it keeps renewing.

Option 3 — ask us to delete the account

For when you no longer have the app. Email us from the address you signed up with, so we can be sure the request is yours.

  1. Email kreativish.ai@gmail.com from your registered address.
  2. Use the subject line Delete my HomeSlate account.
  3. We confirm the request by reply within 7 days.
  4. The account and everything in the first table below are deleted within 30 days of that confirmation.

What gets deleted

Account and email address
The sign-in record itself, held by our authentication provider.
Services and vendors
Every service you added — milk, iron, groceries and the rest.
Daily entries
Every day you logged, with quantities and rates.
Payments
Every payment you recorded against a service.
Settings
Currency, reminders, appearance and the rest of your preferences.

Deletion is permanent. There is no recovery window and no backup we can restore from once the 30 days have passed.

What is kept, and for how long

Purchase records
If you bought Pro, the transaction is held by Google Play or the App Store, not by us. We cannot delete it, and tax law requires it to be retained. It carries no ledger data.
Anonymised crash reports
Diagnostic reports with no account identifier, retained up to 90 days and then dropped automatically.

If you never signed in

HomeSlate works without an account. If you never turned on cloud backup, your ledger only ever existed on your phone — there is nothing of yours on our servers to delete. Uninstalling the app, or tapping Clear all data, removes it.
